Nakamura Now 5-4 after Subduing Tritons
|
The Phoenix Hotspur Reserves picked up a win at Jersey City Grounds, knocking off the Jersey City Tritons, 4-1. Starting pitcher Prince Nakamura played a key role in the triumph. Alexander Weareorwear notched his 16th save in 17 chances. The Phoenix winning streak has now reached 6 games.
Nakamura's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 3 strikeouts in 8 innings while allowing 1 hit. Nakamura, the five overall pick in the 2023 draft, goes to 5-4 on the year with 35 strikeouts.
"We're obviously playing with a lot of confidence," said Phoenix manager David Márquez.
