Phoenix and Milton met at Thunderbirds Stadium in front of a lively crowd.
Mike Harris never let the Milton Dogfish Head find their groove. Throughout the game, Harris, who is tied for 7th in the PAAA in innings pitched with 94.0, relied on his bread and butter, his fastball, in pitching the Hotspur Reserves to a win. Ricardo Sánchez picked up the save, his 1st.
A key at-bat came in the bottom of the fourth inning. With the bases loaded, the batter, Jesús Álvarez, grounded out, driving in 1 run. It made the score 1-0, Phoenix, and helped them go on to win.
"The vibe's good," said Phoenix manager David Márquez. "We've got to keep it going."
Phoenix has now won 5 straight.
