Dogfish Head Come Up Short at Phoenix

Edward Woodstock did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Milton Dogfish Head from losing, 5-3, to the Phoenix Hotspur Reserves at Thunderbirds Stadium. Woodstock went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk. Alexander Weareorwear picked up the save for Phoenix, his 15th of the year. The Hotspur Reserves have now won 4 straight.
Phoenix took the lead in the bottom of the sixth when Satoshi Terada stroked a 2-run double. That made the score 5-3 in favor of Phoenix. For the day, Terada went 1-2 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Terada told a Phoenix Times reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
