Reserves Pull Back to .500 with Win over Nobles
|
Riding the 3-hit performance of the 28-year old right fielder Geoff Rivers, the Athletic Club KC Reserves stymied the Bakersfield Nobles, 6-2. The Reserves now have a record of 34-34 with the win over Bakersfield.
The game turned with two out in the top of the seventh when Rivers, who was drafted in the two round of the 2020 draft, hit a run-scoring single. It propelled the Reserves into the lead, 2-1.
"The beers will taste better tonight after this win," said the ever-candid Rivers.
