Multi-HR Day for Takaki as Hotspur Reserves Overpower BC, 10-2
|
In a tight contest at Houston Park, the Phoenix Hotspur Reserves edged the Houston BC by the score of 10-2. The Phoenix Hotspur Reserves' first baseman Harumi Takaki, who blasted 2 home runs, was named the player of the game. Prince Nakamura earned the win for Phoenix. He lasted 6.1 innings, allowing 1 earned run on 3 hits, while striking out 5. With the win, he raised his record to 4-4. Phoenix bumps their record to 24-41 with the win.
One important at-bat came with the bases loaded in the top of the second. That's when Jesús González, who is tied for 10th in the PAAA in bases on balls with 36, grounded out, driving in 1 run. The Hotspur Reserves went on to win.
"We didn't put up much resistance," said losing manager Javier González.
