Royse City Stadium was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Pure Michigan Great Lakers and the Royse City Targaryens.
The Pure Michigan Great Lakers topped the Royse City Targaryens, 5-4, in USPL Triple A action at Royse City Stadium. The player of the game was Pure Michigan pitcher José López. Esteban Ruíz picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-1. Frank Castle was tagged with the loss. Rubén Rodríguez got credit for the save for Pure Michigan. It was his 6th of the year.
Jason Potter had the most critical at-bat for Pure Michigan, coming in the top of the ninth inning with two out and a runner on 3rd. Potter hit a 2-1 fastball from Frank Castle for a run-scoring single. It put Pure Michigan in front, 5-4.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," López told the Pure Michigan Chronicle.
Pure Michigan occupies first place in the Premier AAA at 39-26.
