Both teams had their chances, but the Milton Dogfish Head eventually prevailed at Houston Park.
A 3-RBI performance from third baseman Rob Gray led the Milton Dogfish Head to a 7-4 win over the Houston BC. José Luján was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 3 save opportunities.
Milton took a 7-4 lead on Gray's 62nd hit of the season. The 2-run single, which he hit off Stanton Miranda in the top of the eighth, propelled Milton to the win.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Gray told the Milton Chronicle.
Milton, now 29-33, holds 8th place in the Premier AAA.
