Left Fielder Medine hits 2 home runs in Win
|
The Houston BC and Gryfindor Braves provided some drama at Cayuse Ballpark.
Ignacio Medine added some punch to the Gryfindor offense, helping them outmuscle the Houston BC, 10-7. In the game, Medine, who leads the PAAA in home runs with 14, hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Gryfindor reliever Travis Carson picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Marc Morgan took the loss.
Gryfindor grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the eighth, when Medine, who is tied for 4th in the PAAA with a .338 batting average, hit a 3-run home run. His 14th home run put the Braves out in front, 10-7.
"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said Medine. "I think we're going to keep proving that."
With the victory, the Braves record now stands at 32-25.
