The Plymouth Rocks turned back the Pure Michigan Great Lakers, 7-6, at Lansing Park. Ken Fulton was named player of the game for his fine performance. He went 2-3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The winner was Plymouth reliever Roberto Aguirre, now 5-3. The loser was Rubén Rodríguez. The Rocks own a robust 26-26 mark.
Arturo Maldonado went 2-4 with a double. He scored 2 runs for Plymouth. In the top of the ninth, with the teams deadlocked, 6-6, Maldonado delivered for the Rocks. His run-scoring sacrifice fly put Plymouth on top, 7-6.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling pretty confident after that win," said Fulton.
