Houston BC starter Ismael Padilla pitched a strong game against the Phoenix Hotspur Reserves at Houston Park, leading the BC to a 4-3 win. With the win over Phoenix, the BC improved to 23-27.
Álex Ramírez was a key contributor to the win for the BC. In the bottom of the 11th with no one out, the light-hitting pinch hitter stroked a single to center. He went 1-1.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Padilla.
