Jersey City Tritons starter Dave Stephenson pitched a strong game against the Milton Dogfish Head at Milton Corner Tavern, leading the Tritons to a 3-2 win. Stephenson got the win, improving to 4-5. He allowed 5 hits and walked 2 over 6.1 innings. Stephenson allowed 2 earned runs. Jersey City currently is in second place in the Premier AAA at 28-19.
In the top of the fifth inning, left fielder Jorge Rodríguez came through big-time for the Tritons. With Jersey City trailing 2-0, he belted a 2-run home run.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Milton manager Wes Murray.
