Rocks Topple Great Lakers with Late Rally
|
Plymouth third baseman Clarence Fox made his presence felt in the 5-3 Rocks triumph over the Pure Michigan Great Lakers. Fox was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Plymouth reliever Roberto Aguirre got the win, raising his record to 3-3. José Ortíz was tagged with the loss. Jamel Rhoads, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 4th save.
Plymouth grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the eighth, when Fox hit a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run put the Rocks out in front, 5-3.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Fox.
Plymouth has now won 3 in a row.
