Great Lakers Continue Hot Start to Season with Win
|
Houston Park was the site for USPL Triple A action featuring the Houston BC and Pure Michigan Great Lakers.
Great Lakers shortstop Takashi Miike put his stamp on his team's 7-2 win over the Houston BC. Miike was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 3 runs for Pure Michigan in the contest. The Great Lakers sit in first place in the Premier AAA with a record of 22-10.
With no one out in the top of the third, Roberto Hernández barreled up a fastball from Ismael Padilla. The result was a solo home run, putting the Great Lakers in front, 2-0.
"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Miike.
