Braves Cut Down Rocks, 2-0

It was a good time at Cayuse Ballpark, where fans came to watch the Plymouth Rocks and Gryfindor Braves get after it.
In a tight game between the Gryfindor Braves and the Plymouth Rocks, pitcher Kenny Koehler was terrific on the mound. The Gryfindor right-hander was named the player of the game in Gryfindor's 2-0 win. Koehler picked up the win for Gryfindor, going 5.2 innings. He gave up no runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0.
With runs few and far between, the Braves had to seize their opportunities when they came. One of the most important chances for Gryfindor came in the bottom of the third. That's when second baseman Roy Herring delivered a run-scoring single. The single was hit off Bob Payne and made the score 1-0, Braves. Herring was 1 for 4.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Herring.
The Gryfindor Braves, now 10-4, have hit the ground running this season.
