The Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids did just enough to secure a 8-2 victory over the Richardson City Thundercats at Atlantica. Nobody did more than pitcher Ángel Navarro, who captured player of the game honors. In 6.1 innings, Navarro surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Northern Virginia's record now stands at 39-43, placing them 6th in the Premier League.

Pau Arria, who is rated as the 5th best prospect by BNN, aided the Northern Virginia cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the shortstop was 1 for 4.
