The Belleville Bulls topped the Mancelona Torch by the score of 7-5, with the largest share of the credit going to designated hitter Alan Shaw. Shaw went 4-4 with 3 doubles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Bulls. Jesús Garces earned the win to go to 2-0. He allowed 3 earned runs on 6 hits, with 2 walks and 8 strikeouts. Giddy Potts finished the game for Belleville and earned his 2nd save.

Mike Jennings contributed an important at-bat in the top of the seventh. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a 2-run double. It was one at-bat that helped send Belleville to the win.
