Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Wizarding Express got the win.
Wizarding Express starter Ralph McKinney pitched a strong game against the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids at Platform 9 3/4, leading the Express to a 4-3 win. Eijiro Takahashi nailed down his 31st save.
Wizarding designated hitter Ignacio Medine helped the Express go up, 4-2, in the bottom of the fourth inning. With the game tied, Medine hit a 2-run home run off Northern Virginia pitcher Arnie Pittman.
Medine told a Wizarding Observer reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
Wizarding has now won 3 straight, while the Rainbow Mermaids have lost 3 in a row.
