Polar Bears Squelch Ft. Polk South Offense in Shutout Win
|
Billings Polar Bears starter Noburo Oishi turned in an exceptional performance against the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks at The Igloo, resulting in a Billings win, 6-0. Oishi picked up the win for Billings, going 6 innings. He gave up no runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 8-1. Billings's record now stands at 37-22, placing them second in the Menard's AA.
The fans who came in support of the Polar Bears were pleased with the outcome. It was what they had hoped for when they passed through the turnstiles at The Igloo.
"That's the key at this level, throwing strike one," said Oishi. "Successful pitchers do it."
