Shooters Fall to Nahasapeemapetilon, Polar Bears
|
The Billings Polar Bears stopped the Springfield Shooters, 5-2, at Springfield Stadium. The Polar Bears got a big game from Apu Nahasapeemapetilon, who hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Paco Rojas was the winning pitcher. Over 6 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 5 hits, with 3 walks and 3 strikeouts. Picking up the save was Bryan Tuff, his 11th.
It could have been a different outcome for Billings, had it not been for Carlos Medellín, the 20-year old right fielder . Medellín contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the fourth inning to put Billings up, 4-2.
"I like the roll we're on," said Billings manager Todd England.
Billings now owns a record of 36-21.
