Thunder Hawks Go Down to Defeat, 4-3
|
Ft. Polk South got a terrific performance from pitcher Hervé Favier, but it wasn't enough to beat the Long Island Seawolves. Long Island won the Thunder Hawks Ballpark contest, 4-3. Favier was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 5 innings allowing 2 runs. José González earned the win for Long Island. He lasted 7.1 innings, allowing 3 earned runs on 14 hits, while striking out 4. With the win, he raised his record to 2-0. At 19-37, the Seawolves find themselves in 10th place in the Menard's AA.
Long Island took control in the top of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, Andrés Aguilar hit a 2-run single to make it 4-2, Seawolves.
"I was a little disappointed," said Ft. Polk South manager Howard Martínez. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
