2-0 Grasshoppers Win over Thunder Hawks Evens Season Record
|
In a tight battle between the San Bernardino Grasshoppers and the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks, pitcher Delmar Llerena was in the zone. The San Bernardino right-hander was named the player of the game in San Bernardino's 2-0 win. Héctor Valentín recorded the save for San Bernardino, his 12th of the season. The Grasshoppers bumped their record to 25-25 with this latest triumph.
Chris Costa contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a double. It was one at-bat that helped San Bernardino get the win.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Costa.
