Seawolves Deal Sonics 11-1 Setback
|
The Long Island Seawolves turned back the Atlantic City Sonics, 11-1, at Ballpark of Remsen. Carlos González was named player of the game for his fine performance. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. The winner was WyDale Curry, who threw 86 pitches over 5.2 innings. The right-hander was charged with no runs on 5 hits. The Seawolves are now 14-31, while the Sonics fall to 23-22.
Also making an impact was catcher DeAndre Thomas, who drilled a 2-run single in the bottom of the second for Long Island. For the game, Thomas went 1-4, while adding 2 RBI.
