Polar Bears Fall to Rosales, Miners
|
A 4-RBI performance from the 23-year old shortstop Manuel Rosales helped the Marquette Miners beat the Billings Polar Bears, 12-8. Marquette reliever Cisco Ortega picked up the win to move to 2-0. Anatoly Ivanovich suffered the loss. Addick Lubbers closed the game out for Marquette, earning his 1st save.
One important at-bat came with the bases loaded in the top of the second, when Rosales hit a bases-clearing double. The Miners went on to win.
"This game had a little bit of everything," said Rosales.
The Marquette Miners have an impressive 27-17 record.
