Sonics Best Shooters in Pitching Duel
|
The Atlantic City Sonics got a magnificent performance from pitcher Masami Kogawa, who muffled the Springfield offense en route to a tight 2-0 Sonics win at Springfield Stadium. The Sonics improve their record to 21-19 with the win over Springfield.
Dam Son was a key contributor to the win for the Sonics. In the top of the seventh with two out, the light-hitting first baseman stroked a single to left. He was 1-2 with a walk and was hit by a pitch.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Kogawa. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
