The Wizarding Express finished things off in style today at Platform 9 3/4.
The Wizarding Express beat the Atlanta Smoke, 9-8, in 11 innings. Wizarding first baseman Fernando Sánchez merited player of the game honors with his performance. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Wizarding has now reeled off 6 straight wins.
The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Ignacio Medine came to bat in the bottom of the 11th. Facing Atlanta pitcher Manny Amici, he hit a 0-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Wizarding on top, 9-8.
"We're feeling pretty good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Medine told the Wizarding Observer.
