The Glendale Herons trumped the Ottawa Nationals, 6-3, at Heron Field. Glendale center fielder Cristián Lima was named player of the game for his performance. He went 4-5 with a triple and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. The loss drops Ottawa to 3-7.
Lima came through with some timely hitting for Glendale. With the score 1-0 in the bottom of the second and two down, Lima hit a 0-1 cutter for a 2-run single. It was his 4th hit of the season -- and a big reason the Herons managed to win.
"If I do my job, we've usually got a pretty good chance to win the game," said Lima.
