Odlum Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Virginia Beach in Walk-Off Win
In a well-pitched game between the Virginia Beach Deuces and the Springfield Shooters, pitcher Miguel López was superb. The Virginia Beach left-hander was named the player of the game in Virginia Beach's 1-0 win. The win was credited to Carlos Garza in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Tomás Galván took the loss. The Virginia Beach Deuces, now 6-2, have hit the ground running this season.

The game was at a stalemate until right fielder Robert Emmet Odlum came to bat in the bottom of the tenth. Facing Springfield pitcher Tomás Galván, he hit a 0-2 fastball for a run-scoring double. It was a game-changer, putting Virginia Beach on top, 1-0.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Odlum told the Virginia Beach Times.
