Austin Rangers starter Art Adams pitched a strong game against the Detroit Renaissance at Rangers Stadium, leading the Rangers to a 3-2 win. The Rangers saw their win-loss record go to 32-36. At the same time, the Renaissance fall to 26-42.

Austin took control in the bottom of the eighth. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Tony Hernández hit a run-scoring single to make it 3-2, Rangers.

Hernández said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
