The Portland Evergreens and Capital District Red Knights obliged those fans who came to Evergreen Park looking for a good time.
The Portland Evergreens stopped the Capital District Red Knights, 6-4, at Evergreen Park. The Evergreens got a big game from John Ennis, who went 2 for 3 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The Portland winning streak has now reached 5 games.
Ennis contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was one of the critical at-bats that helped Portland get the win.
"I believe in our guys," said Portland skipper Imran Baig. "I like the energy they're playing with."
