Dutchmen Lose, 4-1, at Cloverdale Legion Park

Fans who came to Cloverdale Legion Park watched the Kingston Township Legion and the New Amsterdam Dutchmen fight to the finish.
The Kingston Township Legion eeked out a 4-1 win versus the New Amsterdam Dutchmen at Cloverdale Legion Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Jon Briddon, who captured player of the game honors. Kingston Township reliever Il-young Kim picked up the win, upping his record to 5-3. Rusty Swanson took the loss.
Kingston Township grabbed control in the bottom of the seventh. With two out and runners on 1st and 3rd, Christian Blair delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 2-1 in favor of the Legion.
"We were in it," said New Amsterdam manager Sal Gaudio. "We just didn't score enough runs."
Kingston Township is now riding a 3-game win streak.
