Craig Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Greenville in Walk-Off Win
|
Houston pitcher Edison Larson gave the 84s all they could handle, but in the end, Greenville left 84s Field with a 5-4 win. Larson allowed 2 earned runs on 2 hits over 8 innings. Greenville reliever José Rico picked up the win, upping his record to 4-1. Ash Wooden was saddled with the loss. The Greenville 84s have an impressive 46-24 record.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth. That's when Greenville second baseman Joe Craig, facing Ash Wooden, had a run-scoring triple. It gave the 84s the 5-4 win.
"We take it day by day here," said Craig, "and today was a good one for us."
