Red Knights Get One-Run Win at Buckhead
|
Capital District second baseman José Paz picked up 3 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Buckhead Bowties, 7-4. The winner was Raúl Luna, who threw 113 pitches over 8 innings. The right-hander was charged with 4 runs on 6 hits. Getting the save was Miguel Toro, his 12th.
Alfonso Enríquez aided the Capital District cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth. For the game, the right fielder was 2 for 4 with 2 singles.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Paz told reporters after the game.
