Fans who gathered at Pacesetter Park saw a good contest between the Toledo Stingers and Houston 1837 BBC.
The Stingers had to overcome a good performance from Houston pitcher Edison Larson to claim a 4-2 win at Pacesetter Park. Larson went 7 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. Vincent Bannon, who went 5.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 5 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 4. His record now stands at 5-3.
Alfredo Martínez, the Toledo right fielder, contributed a grand slam home run in the bottom of the third inning to make the score 4-0, Stingers. For the game, Martínez went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once.
