Victory Over Stingers Takes Portland to 38-21
|
Portland Evergreens starter Leroy Picot was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Toledo Stingers, 8-2. Ricardo Gómez was credited with the save for Portland, his 7th of the season. The Portland Evergreens have an impressive 38-21 record.
Frank Crocker was a key contributor to the win for the Evergreens. In the top of the sixth with one out, the light-hitting second baseman stroked a single to right. He went 1-2. He drove in 3 runs.
"We did a lot of things right," said Crocker.
