The Austin Rangers defeated the Wizarding Express, 7-2, at Rangers Stadium. Austin third baseman Matt Sheppard was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 3-3 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Austin is now 31-32, Wizarding 39-24.
Austin took the lead in the bottom of the sixth when Sheppard hit a 2-run home run. His 9th home run made the score 3-2, Austin.
"It feels good to get this one," Sheppard told the Austin Herald.
