Hawks Lose to Stingers in Walk Off
|
The Chicago Hawks and Toledo Stingers provided some drama at Pacesetter Park.
The Stingers grabbed a 3-2 win at Pacesetter Park, overcoming a fine effort from Chicago pitcher Santiago Maes. Maes went 8 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. The 11th-place Stingers now have a win-loss record of 19-32.
Hugo Rampley was the walk-off hero for Toledo. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, the Toledo pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We need to get rid of the bad mojo," said Rampley. "Maybe this win will help."
