Red Knights Continue Skid, Thanks to Blevins, Evergreens
|
Benefiting from Bubba Blevins's productive game, the Portland Evergreens downed the Capital District Red Knights, 6-4. Blevins was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2 for the Evergreens. This loss makes it 6 in a row for Capital District.
Clay Rush dealt the Red Knights a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with the bases loaded and Portland leading 4-3, Rush hit a first pitch fastball for a 2-run single.
"We've hit a rough patch right now," said Capital District skipper Don Lookingbill.
