The Houston BC defeated the Gryfindor Braves, 5-4, in USPL Triple A action at Houston Park, with Houston pitcher Ismael Padilla named player of the game. The winner was Houston reliever Jim Unknown, now 1-0. The loser was Biff Tannen. Houston, now 3-6, is off to a slow start.
Houston won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. That's when designated hitter Alfredo Mojica hit a dramatic 2-run home run, bringing BC fans to their feet.
In postgame comments, Padilla told the Houston Observer: "Do people still doubt I give 100%?"
