Salt Lake City center fielder Vicente Cruz was instrumental in his team's 5-4 win over the Vermont Lake Monsters. Cruz, who is tied for 6th in the SAAA in triples with 4, went 4-4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Buzz. The 7th-place Buzz raised their record to 47-49.

Qi-zhen Loong had a clutch at-bat with two out in the bottom of the seventh for the Buzz. Coming up with runners on 1st and 3rd and Salt Lake City trailing 4-3, he hit a 2-run double.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Cruz told the Salt Lake City Observer.
