Drummers Get Past Alloway for 5-4 Win
The Drummers grabbed a 5-4 win at Ballpark of Alloway, overcoming a fine effort from Alloway pitcher Gilberto Ramírez. Ramírez went 7 innings and allowed 1 earned run. The win was credited to Don Miller in relief. His record improves to 2-0. António Muñóz took the loss. Motoyuki Nakamura earned the save, his 1st.

In the top of the 8th, pinch hitter Dave King gave Tortolita the lead when he hit a 2-run home run. The Drummers had been trailing 4-3, but the two-out home run off Alloway pitcher António Muñóz changed that -- and Tortolita went on to win.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling pretty confident after that win," said King.

The Drummers now have a record of 46-46 with the win over Alloway.
