Drummers Scratch and Claw to 6-5 Win
|
For the home crowd, it was a thrilling walk-off win.
Roberto Mosca was instrumental in his team's 6-5 triumph over the Salt Lake City Buzz. The right fielder was 4-4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs for the Tortolita Drummers. Tortolita reliever Francis Cahill picked up the win to move to 3-3. Luis Bejarano suffered the loss.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth. That's when Tortolita center fielder Keith Best, facing Luis Bejarano, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Drummers the 6-5 win.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Mosca. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
With the win, the Drummers improved to 44-44.
