With second baseman Justin MacPherson leading the charge, the Salt Lake City Buzz defeated the Alloway Halberds, 6-3, at Spirits Stadium. MacPherson, who is tied for 10th in the SAAA in RBI with 42, was 2 for 3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Salt Lake City, now 42-43, holds 7th place in the Silver AAA.
In the bottom of the third, Pablo Coloa hit a 2-run single for Salt Lake City. The 4th hit of the season for the Salt Lake City designated hitter put the Buzz on top, 3-2.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Coloa told the Salt Lake City Observer. "It's as simple as that."
