Halberds Cut Down Disaster, 8-1
|
Jarred Morgan helped his team muscle past the Port Royal Disaster, 8-1. In the game, the Alloway left fielder was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The Halberds, at 25-58, sit in last place in the Silver AAA.
One important at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the fourth, when Morgan hit a 3-run home run. The Halberds went on to win.
"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Port Royal manager Bobby Robinson. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
