Battlekings Sink Buzz, 9-2

The Salt Lake City Buzz and Naperville Battlekings provided some drama at Constellation Ballpark.
With first baseman Joe Cashmore leading the charge, the Naperville Battlekings defeated the Salt Lake City Buzz, 9-2, at Constellation Ballpark. Cashmore, who is tied for 5th in the SAAA in home runs with 13, went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Ernest Hawks picked up the win with 7 innings of work. He allowed 1 earned run on 8 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 4. On the season, he is now 3-4.
Cashmore had a key at-bat for Naperville early in the game. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 13th home run of the season and gave Naperville an early 3-1 lead.
Cashmore told a Naperville Observer reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
The Buzz, at 40-42, have lost 4 straight games.
