Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Lynx

Starting pitcher Octávio Fernández pitched well enough to help the Calgary Lynx beat the Naperville Battlekings by the score of 4-3. Calgary reliever Alfonso Vera picked up the win, upping his record to 7-2. Chris Rogers absorbed the loss. At 50-31, the Lynx have a slim two-game lead in the Silver AAA.
Calgary won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. That's when catcher Gilberto Rodríguez hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Lynx fans to their feet.
"If the personal accolades come, so be it," said Fernández. "I just want to win ballgames."
