Late Rally by Lake Monsters Secures Win
The Vermont Lake Monsters topped the Tortolita Drummers, 4-3, in USSL Triple A action at Monster Field. The player of the game was Vermont pitcher Manuel Montés. Hwen-thiang Qin picked up the save, his 3rd. The Lake Monsters move to 37-40 with the win, while the Drummers drop to 38-39.

Vermont took a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning, when Rafael Pueblo hit a clutch solo home run to bring Lake Monsters fans to their feet.

"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Montés.
