Pennsauken Park was the site of a competitive game between the Pennsauken Flyers and Alloway Halberds.
The Alloway Halberds faced a tough opponent in Pennsauken pitcher Zach Rediker, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Pennsauken Park by a final score of 2-1. Rediker went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Bob Browning picked up the win with 7.1 innings of work. He allowed 1 earned run on 7 hits, while walking 6 and striking out 2. On the season, he is now 4-12. John Hicks got credit for the save for Alloway. It was his 6th of the year.
Also producing for Alloway was designated hitter Juan Salinas, who stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the third. For the game, Salinas went 1-2 with a walk and was hit by a pitch.
"Runs were at a premium," said Alloway manager Santiago Vargas.
Even with the win, the Alloway Halberds have a dismal 23-50 record.
