Fog Pin 6-4 Loss on Buzz
|
The Sunset District Fog and Salt Lake City Buzz obliged those fans who came to Spirits Stadium hoping for an exciting game.
The Sunset District Fog topped the Salt Lake City Buzz by the score of 6-4, with the largest share of the credit going to catcher Chad Shafer. Shafer was 1-2 with a home run and 3 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Fog. Dave Morse picked up the win with 6 innings of work. He allowed 2 earned runs on 2 hits, while walking 5 and striking out 2. On the season, he is now 6-1. Picking up the save was Reynaldo Maestas, his 8th.
One important at-bat came with the bases loaded in the top of the fifth. That's when Armando Carmona drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Fog went on to win.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Shafer said.
The win puts the Fog at 42-28, while the Buzz drop to 34-36.
