Despite a great performance by Pawnee designated hitter Tom Benjamin, the Tortolita Drummers defeated the ParksNRec by the score of 7-6 at Drummers Ballpark. Benjamin went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Tortolita starter Ricky Jackson was credited with the win after throwing 107 pitches over 6.2 innings. His record now stands at 7-5. At 32-34, Tortolita is in 7th place in the Silver AAA.
Steve Costillo scored once against the ParksNRec. In the bottom of the first inning, he reached on an error by the 1B, driving in 2 runs, putting Tortolita in front, 2-0.
