Cashmore Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Naperville in Walk-Off Win
|
Naperville overcame a superlative game from Augusto Ramos to beat Pennsauken, 5-2. The Pennsauken pitcher took player of the game honors in a losing cause. He threw 6 innings of shutout ball. Naperville reliever Jorge Carrión was the winner. His record is now 5-3. Jeren Kendall took the loss. The Naperville winning streak has now reached 11 games.
Naperville won the game in the bottom of the 14th inning. That's when first baseman Joe Cashmore hit a dramatic 3-run home run, bringing Battlekings fans to their feet.
"We'll keep riding this wave," said Naperville Battlekings manager Mark Harrison, "as long as we can."
